In the movie Hard to Kill, Steven Segal's character came out of a seven year coma. Well the bad guys came after him in the hospital when he woke up (thus the title) and a great looking (naturally), English accented nurse took him to a ranch for him to recouperate.
As he was getting back into shape he was hitting the makiwara (a straw padded 4x4 he dug into the ground himself like a post) he bagan getting flashbacks of his family's murder.
He hit the makiwara so hard it snapped in half.
The English accented nurse was watching and said his name -
"Mason Storm"

There are four main reasons I offer and have for the last I forget how many years offered a free martial arts ezine.
First and foremost my love of martial arts and my wish to promote the martial arts.

Fourth is my love of martial arts and my wish to promote the martial arts.
Yes I said that twice.
Because this is a free martial arts ezine, I feel I should be able to expect polite behavior from my readers especially since you are martial artists or interested in the martial arts. So if you subscribe and request an article say on internal energy strikes and I take my time to write you back personally and tell you I have an entire ebook for sale on the subject and I don't even get a “No thank you Master Kirkham I'm just a kid and not serious enough about martial arts to pay anything for it” THAT is rude behavior and you may consider yourself unsubscribed for not even having the manners or etiquette to answer me back.
Now those of you who are thinking, “Oh my, did I not answer a letter from Rick?”, I'm not talking to you you have the martial spirit and I thank you for being a subscriber. Sometimes emails are lost, I understand. I've lost them myself and if I did not answer a personal email to me one of you sent let me apologize right now. So if two or three months go by and you did not get your martial arts ezine, there may be a good reason. I don't think I am asking for too much here and I expect the same behavior from myself.
Lastly, thank you to all of you, who through your articles, suggestions, adverting, and contributions have made this Martial Arts Ezine a success.
